The other day, I realised that I don’t really cook “real chicken”, I mean I cook chicken breast, chicken tights but not the entire chicken. I guess it’s because there’s just the 2 of us eating and it might be too much so I started to look for recipes to make the most of it and enjoy our “real chicken”.

Let’s start with a roasted chicken with its yummy vegetables.

Serve 6:  chicken, 1 onion, 2 carrots, 4 leeks, olive oil and thyme, salt and pepper.

Preheat the oven to 200°.

Clean your chicken under a clear water, wipe it with kitchen paper. Put it in an oven dish, large enough for the chicken and the veg.

Peel and cut the onion, same for the carrots and leeks. Rince them under a clear water. Put them too in the oven dish and add a trickle of oil, thyme, salt and pepper. Add water to cover the veg so they won’t burn.

Hop! Into the oven for about 1h30 (count 30mn per 500g). Every 20mn approx, spray the chicken with the juice water/oil.

Don’t forget to entertain yourself, you deserve it. Tender and crunchy, how about that?
